Hydro jet drain cleaning is an enhanced plumbing method that makes use of high-pressure water jets to clear blockages and clean the inside wall surfaces of pipelines. Unlike traditional drainpipe snaking, which merely punches an opening through a blockage, hydro jetting completely removes particles accumulation throughout the pipe system.
A proficient plumbing technician inserts a specialized hose and nozzle into the drainpipe or drain line. The nozzle releases water at extremely high pressure– typically up to 4,000 PSI– which combs the pipeline inner parts and flushes particles out of the plumbing system.
Hydro jetting is generally used for:
- Extreme drainpipe blockages
- Sewage system line clogs
- Grease build-up in kitchen drain pipes
- Tree root invasion
- Sludge and sediment accumulation
- Preventative drain maintenance
Because the process makes use of only water pressure, hydro jetting is environmentally friendly and risk-free for many plumbing systems when executed by skilled experts.
