Hydro jet drain cleaning is an enhanced plumbing practice that uses high-pressure water jets to clear blockages and clean the inside walls of pipelines. Unlike typical drainpipe snaking, which simply punches an opening through an obstruction, hydro jetting entirely removes particles buildup throughout the pipeline system.
A proficient plumbing contractor inserts a specialized pipe and nozzle inside the drain or sewage system line. The nozzle discharges water at exceptionally high pressure– normally as much as 4,000 PSI– which combs the pipeline interior and clears debris out of the plumbing system.
Hydro jetting is generally used for:
- Serious drainpipe obstructions
- Sewer line blockages
- Oil buildup in kitchen drains
- Tree root intrusion
- Sludge and sediment buildup
- Preventative drain upkeep
Since the procedure utilizes just water pressure, hydro jetting is environmentally friendly and safer for the majority of plumbing systems when executed by experienced experts.
